BOSTON (April 8th, 2020) — As Chief Technology Officer at HCS, Gil Dror uses the Resilix® treatment experience platform to deliver improved initiation, adherence, and outcomes from treatment. Gil leads technology with a mindset of:
- Staying focused on the customer (patient, HCP) and using technology to coordinate and support the customer experience
- Speed and flexibility by delivering and adapting quickly in order to win and stay ahead
- Maximizing data integrations to drive actions, insights, and improvements
- Teamwork and talent by getting the right people in the right roles
- Applying operational science to get better and better – measurement and defect identification drive root cause analysis, learnings, and systematic solutions
What makes you most proud about the technology team/organization/capability at HCS?
First, I would say the team’s ability to support one another. There are no egos or prima donnas here and even though we have a diverse group of people from all over the world, they are working together as one unit. Second, the team is highly engaged and passionate about helping patients, so they look beyond just the technical side of their work.
What recent achievements in technology at HCS deserve recognition?
We are constantly pushing the envelope of what patient support programs can offer, including bringing all channels and activities together in a 360° view, and leveraging advanced technologies in Natural Language Processing, Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning, and more.
What made these achievements possible?
We have an engineering mindset and apply it to every challenge we face. No task is too big or too small for this group. We encourage developers to think creatively and explore ideas that can make us more productive and allow us to deliver remarkable results.
What most excites you about technology at HCS looking forward?
We have built a technology foundation that not only allows for rapid feature development but also better integrations with the different vendors that currently play in this space. We bring a mindset of transparency and open API to a market that is used to walled gardens and other technological barriers.
What's most challenging about your role?
Managing a team through rapid growth is challenging and rewarding at the same time. It is critical to establish the right technical habits for future success without compromising the agility and creative spirit that enabled the growth in the first place.
How does technology at HCS stay ahead of the curve?
There are a lot of things happening in the technology space and we keep on top of them even if they are not directly related to our market. Once we identify a technology that could potentially take us miles ahead of current industry standards, we learn as much as we can about it and then prototype it with a small group (for example, during our regular Hackathons). We also make sure to involve our clients in this process to ensure a seamless adoption from their end.
What do you love about working at HCS?
I love the culture. On one hand, there is a culture of professionalism and ownership across the different teams to do the maximum possible to achieve success but also there is a sense of comradeship and fun that makes going to work really energizing.

Aside from trying to keep up with my teenage daughters, I like to spend time with my family and friends. I am also a big fan of CrossFit and the New England Patriots.
